  • Paneer – 400gms
  • Sauf -1. 5 tbsp
  • Musturd powder-1/2 tsp
  • Kalunji seeds – 1 tsp
  • Meethi – 1 pinch
  • Jeera – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1 tsp
  • Onion – 1 finely chopped
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Tomato puree – 1 cup
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  • Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Chat masala – 1 tsp
  • Dry mango powder  1.5 tsp
  • Sugar – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt
  • Mustard oil – 2 tbsp
  • Lime juice – 1 tbsp
  • Green chilly- 4 grind it if you want it to be extra spicy and add to the gravy.


  • Firstly heat the cooking pot and pour the mustard oil till it gets smoked then add kalonji seeds or onion seeds to it and let it splutter. Then add finely chopped onion and fry

  • Now once the onion is brown add ginger garlic paste and fry till the smell vanishes. Do add a bit of water in order to prevent the onions from burning.

  • Then add the sauf powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, sugar and cumin powder and fry add some water if required and fry till you can smell the nice aroma coming out of it. It will take approx 10 mins . You can increase the level of spiciness if you want by adding some grinded green chillies.

  • After this add the Tomato puree to it and mix well. And let it continue to cook for approx 5 mins.

  • After this add the curd to it and cook till you can see the oil getting saperate from the gravy.

  • After this add the panner cubes to the gravy along with it add salt, dry mango powder, chat masala and turmeric powder.

  • Let it get cooked over a low flame for 10 mins and then add some freshly chopped coriander leaves and lime juice. Mix well.It’s ready to serve.
